How can I tell my boyfriend about my surgery?

I am about to have a facelift surgery by next month. I have already booked the date and I am getting really anxious about keeping the secret. I don't know how to tell this to him. I have been joking about getting a tummy tuck but he keeps saying for what and why. You should not do that, is what he says. So far I have only told my mother, and to one of my friends.
What if I tell him to lie that I am only doing liposuction. I will just come out of the facelift surgery and be like, look what the doctor gave me as a bonus. Will this work?
As the date gets closer, I will start feeling anxious again.
