Hi guys,just wondering what your thoughts are on Smolov jr for bench. I know ek has done it previously ( and torn his pec) so thoughts on everything from recovery, benefits etc are welcome.
My situation is this:
I have a bench only comp in 5 and a half weeks.I have 10 days left until i max at the end of the cube programme I'm currently on.
I then intend to take 3 days totally off, before starting smolov.
I have done a successful run of 16 weeks of sheiko in the past, so volume isn't anything new to me, but the percentages on smolov seem a bit higher. In terms of levels of strength if it makes a difference, I'd say i was intermediate, with a 409lb 185kg bench.
