Before starting this program, I did just about as much research on it as is humanely possible, and the one thing that I found helped me out the most was reading other people's logs, and the results that they got from the program.
So I guess I'm starting this log with the intention of helping out other people who are maybe thinking about starting it, or people who fancy just having a good chat about it. But probably mostly just for the simple reason that I can have another place to write down what I do in the gym, and who doesn't like keeping a gym diary.
21 y/o, 6' 1 and weigh 80 kg (ish).
To give a brief training history, I started stronglifts 5x5 in Oct 2013, did that for a year, started 5/3/1 in Oct 2014, did that for roughly 6 months, and then started Candito's 6 week program 5ish weeks ago. My training maxes going into this were a 150 kg squat (this was an estimate as I'd never gone above 140), a 100 kg bench (I'd hit 105 before but I wanted to be conservative with it) and a 160 kg deadlift (again, an estimate).
I'm currently in week 5 of the program, having done squats and bench (deadlifts tomorrow woop), and my estimated maxes for those two are now 162.5 and 110. If I had to guess, judging by my deadlifts last week (a fairly easy triple at 152.5 after heavy squats and more deadlifts), my estimated max is probably sitting around about 175-180.
Plan is to do a mock meet next week, start cycle 2 on the 10th, then hopefully just carry on from there.
Feel free to say hi if you are vaguely interested in seeing how much better I get at moving inanimate objects.
TL;DR Pretty weak guy, did one cycle, not as weak as I was before
